If you can dream it, someone can create it…
that’s when science fiction becomes fact.

You say you want a devolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the worlds…

Déjà vu... All over again.

My story begins, as tales about the future of Mankind inevitably must, with the end of the world. But how did it come to this?

In the golden age of humans, Man became so enamored with the promise of advanced technology that he believed that it could erase the sins of his past. But the very technology that Man worshiped as his savior proved to be a double-edged sword.

Indeed, technology that could have been used for good; to eliminate disease, to feed the hungry, to reverse global warming, instead was used to amass an arsenal of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons that could destroy his world a thousand times over. Like the sword of Damocles hanging by a thread, those maniacal weapons were aimed at the very heart of Man, just waiting for some insane band of zealots to pull the trigger.

And they did.

No human life on the surface of the Earth would survive the devastation that Man brought upon himself. Life on Earth, as it had been known, was gone in the blink of an eye.

From the ashes of Man’s arrogance, the evolutionary genie was unleashed from the bottle... it was twisted, broken, poisoned, and then tossed back into a toxic primordial soup. The future of Man would no longer be governed by a millennium of evolution, but in fact, it would be reversed... into a genetic devolution.

Déjà vu, all over again…

"But you tell me,
Over and over and over again, my friend.
Ah, you don't believe,
We're on the Eve… of Destruction.”

~ P. F. Sloan

Devolution - Rise of the Chimera

The poem that launched the song that inspired the epic Sci-Fi femme fatale saga The Devolution Chronicles...
Devolution - Rise of the Chimera
Human... devolution / Government… attribution
Biogenic... retribution / Why did it all... go so wrong?

Master... domination
 / Servant... replication

Hybrid... transmutation
/ Why did it all... go so wrong?

Raise up your gun / Our time has come
Lay down your body and your soul.

Stand up and fight / For might makes right
Cast off your chains of control.

Strike swift your blow / Let freedom flow
No surrender, no retreat.
Drive deep your spear / Release your fear
‘Til devolution is complete.

Raise up your gun / Our time has come
Lay down your body and your soul.
Stand up and fight / For might makes right
Cast off your chains of control.

Our strengths combine / Revenge is mine
No surrender, no retreat.
Press your attack / And don’t look back
Now devolution is complete.

Eternity... was your seduction.
 / Morality... the lone obstruction.

You’ve sown the seeds... of your own destruction.

You know... where it all... went wrong.

Breath deep... your heart beats faster.
 / Eyes shut... embrace disaster.

Once your servant... but now your master.

The world you knew... is gone.
