HIGH COUNTRY, Nov 25 (Reuters) – Independent Feline Forces and the Canine militant group known as the “Black Dog Liberation Front” [BDLF] agreed on Sunday to a ceasefire deal, said a human official with knowledge of mediation between the two sides.
The official declined to be named or to give further information.
There was no immediate official confirmation of the news, which came on the seventh month of intensive hissing and barking along the demilitarized zone in the disputed “Cat-Dog” territories. While acknowledging that the interspecies dispute is as old as dirt, all parties involved pray that this latest truce will hold…

Wilbur: Why not?
Ram: Oh, it's a matter of status.
Sometimes, the clouds part and humanity comes into focus. A local food bank needs help, so I’ll donate 2X the profits from my books and music for Nov / Dec to the Crossroads Ministry. Stay charitable my friends.
When the pyramids of Egypt align with Orion’s Belt, is it the end of the Mayan Long Count, or just time for another Dos Equis? Stay thirsty my friends… a bak’tun is a terrible thing to waste.

Why did you leave? You can’t really be happy living in the mountains of Colorado, can you? Have you forgotten me? The 3 most asked questions on my trip back to LaLa land.
First of all, California, it’s not about just you and me. You remember watching Elliot in Pete’s Dragon, he knew that “when there’s a kid in trouble, you’ve got to go help them. Period.” And so I came to Colorado, to help someone that needed me.
Truth is, I do miss you, but not the 20 million others that were crowding out my thoughts. Man, they were starting to harsh my mellow. Alone, I’ve discovered myself and with 4 books and an album in 2 years, I’ve found my voice up here on the mountaintop. Besides, admit it, we each needed some space to grow.
And happiness? That guiding light doesn’t come from where you are, it come from who you are; it comes from within, you know that.
Will I forget you? Of course not. That would be as futile as trying to stop the tides of the ocean. Ok, I could stop the tides by building a giant rocket, targeting it on the moon with a nuclear explosion and knocking it out of earth’s orbit, thereby eliminating the tidal motions… but the analogy still stands - some things are just meant to be.
What we had was real, it was immortal; hell, they’ll sing songs around the campfire of our burning love and the crazy adventures we had. That I’ll hold forever in my heart.
So go on, dry those tears and think fondly of me, for I never left you. My new north star is as Tennyson declared, “To strive, to seek, to find and not yield.” That is my purpose, my guiding light, the voice that calls to me from within the fortress of solitude. And with it, a heart stirs and Yepa’s mournful call is answered.
Such it is in dreams.
